The result of a meeting between Julie Jones, curator at the Musée National d’Art Moderne, and Marin Karmitz, filmmaker and collector, the “Corps à Corps” photography exhibition offered visitors to the Centre Pompidou a hitherto unseen private-public encounter.
In Recall the Future ! filmmaker Romain Goupil (Mourir à trente ans) inventively captures this experience, in which Julie Jones and Marin Karmitz passionately explain their approach. The film draws an intimate portrait of Marin Karmitz through his choice of photographs, and offers a contemporary reflection on the importance of remembrance and transmission.
