Fiction
In a working class suburb north of Paris, the springtime victory of the Popular Front in 1936 spawned hopes and dreams along with the rise of extremism. A trio of unemployed stage workers decide to occupy the local music hall, where they had worked until recently, intent on staging a “hit” variety show. The site becomes the setting of a beautiful, but short-lived venture.
