Winged migration

The story of migratory birds is that of a promise: The promise to return.
The arrival of spring makes the arctic highland once again hospitable to the migratory birds that breed there. However, in the vicinity of the North Pole, summer is short and autumn swiftly arrives, announcing the time to depart for greener pastures and milder temperatures in the south, as far as the tropics. But they’ll be back; it’s an absolute necessity… for survival.
